Is there any meaningful application in 2025 that doesn’t require to have AI feature in it?

Well, the answer is certainly yes, however it’s definitely not BetterTori! These are the biggest updates so far for Bettertori since its launch, and they are all about AI.

One of the most missing feature in Tori.fi is undoubtedly a better search. When using their built-in search feature, it’s generally difficult to find what we are looking for. The search results are not very relevant, or often too blunt, and the search itself is not very intuitive, and not to menation it’s not AI powered. (Yes, I said it! 😅)

AI Search

Bettertori is now offeres AI powered search feature, which allows you to search for items using natural language. This means that you can type in a query like “Smart TV Under 300 Eur In Helsinki” and Bettertori will return the relevant items which came from your Tori.fi email notifications.

The feature this latest release brings combines multiple searching methods, and algorithms. It utilizes vector database, and semantic search to provide the most relevant results for your query. This is a game changer when it comes to searching, due to its ability to understand context and meaning—rather than just matching keywords—resulting in significantly more accurate and intuitive results.

By combining vector search, semantic understanding, and ranking algorithms, this feature transforms search from a frustrating guessing game into a fast, intelligent assistant that actually understands you. (Yeah, this do sound like the ultimate AI slop 🫠)

Once the vector search has returned the most relevant items, the results are then pulled through a ranking algorithm, which takes into account the recency of the items, and their relevance to the query. This ensures that the most relevant and recent items are shown at the top of the search results.

AI Recommendations

Bettertori with the help of AI will also try to attempt to give you recommendations of the best possible deals in each of the product categories you are following from Tori.fi

If you have provided your area of living, the AI will also take into account the location of the items, and will return only the items which are located in your area, or nearby to you. This is a great way to find items that are relevant to you, and are located nearby.
