There’s a vast amount of academic research and literature on communities and their impact on our everyday lives. Studies across psychology, sociology, and have repeatedly shown that being part of a community has a big influence on us. Communities in general play a crucial role in how we navigate the world. Researches have demonstrated that strong social connections can improve mental well-being, and eventually lead to bettertori life.

For almost twenty years, Twitter (X) has been the go-to platform for sharing thoughts, news, and updates. However, in recent years, the platform has been rapidly declining, and been criticized for its lack of moderation, and the spread of misinformation. This has led to the rise of new platforms, such as Bluesky, which aim to provide a more secure and reliable alternative to X. I’ve personally left X a while ago, and moved myself over Bluesky.
Bluesky is designed as a decentralized network where users and communities have more autonomy. At its core, Bluesky is powered by the Authenticated Transfer Protocol (AT Protocol)—a system that allows for open, federated social networking.

Labelers on Bluesky
A labeler is a method for community moderation. Labelers can assign labels to posts or accounts, allowing anyone subscribed to the labeler to decide how they want that content to be handled. This could include displaying the label, issuing a warning about the content, or completely hiding it.
However labels can be used for purposes other than content moderation, such as simply adding labels to their accounts.
This is the case with Bettertori’s Bluesky labeler account. The account is used to label posts related to Bettertori, so that anyone following the labeler can easily find the latest updates and news about Bettertori. Plus, you can also show off that you are a Bettertori user, by adding the label to your account. Now, isn’t that cool?
